Tooth Pulling?

I know it has been awhile since I have posted anything...I really have had nothing to post.  Nothing.  It has been so incredibly boring around here!  Unfortunately today I have found something to blog about.  It is unfortunate because of what I'm posting.

Today we had a little mishap...Noah and Caden were "rough housing" and as they were running, Noah pushed Caden.  Caden fell on the tile.  Caden hit his front two teeth on the tile.  Caden is screaming.  Blood is everywhere.  Luckily I was in the middle of making Black Bottom Cupcakes (recipe is coming soon...thanks Ashley) so I didn't hear the "noise" that might have come.

So, I am checking his teeth and cleaning up the mess and the teeth feel a little loose.  So of course I freak out and call my friend Sharla to see what she thinks I should do (she is a Dental Hygenist)  and she says I should probably get it checked out.  So we go and get X-Rays just to be on the safe side.  Well, it apears that his front right tooth has a fractured root.  What does that mean?  It means that it will have to be pulled.  What does that mean?  It means that he will be toothless there for like 2 years until his permenent teeth grow in.  I'm just grateful that it is just the one tooth and not the top two.  I can only imagine how he would speak for 2 years.  We will find out for sure what is going to happen on Monday and how we have to go about this.  In the meantime, I am going to take lots of pictures of my cutie now with all his teeth...

I just hope Caden doesn't seek revenge on his brother:)  Did I mention that Ben is out of town?  Of course he is!  From Wed. morning until late tonight.  Fun for me.

Tile Coasters

I just made some coasters and wanted to share them with you! Too bad I didn't do this at Christmas time...they would have made really cute gifts! Oh well...maybe next year:)
Anyway...these were so easy to make!!! Here is what you need:

1. Tumbled tiles, 4x4's (they come 9 to a box at Home Depot and cost $5 or $6)
2. Stamps
3. Stazon ink...color Timber Brown
4. Distressed ink (optional)...color brushed corduroy
5. Sponge
6. Spray adhesive so the water from the cup won't ruin them
7. Cork for the bottom

First wipe down each tile (there is a powder on all of them).
Then stamp away with the stazon ink.
I then used the distressed ink and sponge and inked the edges and the whole tile to make it looke a little distressed.
Let the ink dry.
Then preheat the oven to 330 degrees and bake them for about 3 minutes.
After that, spray with the adhesive. (Spray this stuff outside!! On top of newspaper!!)
When it is all dry, put some cork board on the bottom (it is sticky on one side, so just cut it to the right size and stick it on)
That's it! Very easy!! Hope you have fun making them!

Baby #3 Update

I just realized that I never expanded on my announcement of Baby #3!  So I thought I would give a little update...at least what little I know:)

I am out of my 1st trimester!  YEAH!!  Which means I'm not sick any more, not stuffing food down my mouth as quickly as I could get it in there (I was hungary 24/7...If I didn't eat I would feel nausous, if I did eat I felt nausous...not cool), I'm still not in maternity clothes {YEAH!!}, I can't sleep at all (I had a run of 6 days of no sleep...I finally found out I can take Benadryl, I took it, and I slept like a baby for 6 hours, then I was up for good at 4am.  I NEED TO SLEEP!!)  My boys are in love with this baby.  Caden tells anyone and everyone that he is going to have a baby!!  Noah just stares at my belly and asks if he can hold his baby sister.  He is scared to sit on my lap, worried he will squish the baby.  He is already a fabulous big brother. He is also asking questions about the baby and worried that there are not enough toys for the baby and we need to buy some.

Caden wants to name the baby Cassy.  Noah wants Caramel Apple.  (He now likes Claire...)  But I can honestly say that I have not pressed the whole girl thing on them...they both think it is a girl {WAHOO!!}  I really hope they know something I don't!!  I think everyone I know has told me they are praying I get a girl...

Overall...its been a good pregnancy.  I have no complaints.  Its been fun seeing my belly get bigger and bigger!!  The boys think its pretty funny.

My due date is July 15...I'm going to guess more like July 3-5.  I was 2 weeks early on both boys.

It's Christmas!!

I know I'm really late on posting Christmas (like 2 weeks??)  ...but its been kinda crazy around here!  And I haven't been in the mood to blog.  Oh well!  On to Christmas!!  This year we spent Christmas with the Thatcher side, so Caden and Noah had fun with cousins Molly and Will and Uncle Logan.  The night began with an amazing spread of yummy appitizers and desserts (there family tradition).  Every year our little family elf, Sqeegicuns, drops off bag full of presents to those who have been good boys and girls!  Whats inside??  Well, PJ's of course!    They opened their PJ's and then we had a little photo op.  I think they all look super cute!!

After opening their PJ's, the kids wanted to write a letter to Santa.  They told Uncle Logan what to say and then they all signed their names.  The letter said:

Dear Santa-
Thank you for the PJ's.  We are glad you found us!
We hope you didn't leave the presents.
Thank you!
We love you Santa!
Stay classy Santa!
Love,
Caden, Noah, Molly and Logan

It was so cute how they were just all talking and telling Logan what to put in the letter.  They were so excited for Santa to come!

Then Christmas came!  I love the wide eye looks as they stare at all the presents!  They just were in awe!
Caden got the scooter he has been wanting for forever!  It made his Christmas (not to mention he has already put holes in some new jeans later that day...)
Noah got a Big Wheel.  He doesn't look too happy because he just found out that he doesn't get to ride it today because the Santa accidently left a main piece to the big wheel out...therefore, he couldn't ride it.  What a BUMMER!!  Over all, Christmas was a wonderful, relaxing day!
The next day my parents and Nana (my mom's mom) came to our home for Christmas!  It was just the 3 of them on Christmas morning, so we decided that Saturday morning would be Christmas all over again...Gillis style:)  Here are some fun costumes Mimi and Popi got the boys (is that Luke Skywalker mask just the creepiest thing you have ever seen??)
The boys got some good loot!  They were excited to open more presents!  After presents we ate the traditional fruit soup and breakfast quiche...every member of the Gillis family has this Christmas Morning.  I look forward to it every year!!  Yum yum!!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas!  And thanks to all those who let us share the day with them!
